The Rock County Historical Society (RCHS) holds several fundraising events each year.  These include:

Tales from the Grave - a popular event that takes place on Buffalo Days Weekend (usually Sunday) is Tales from the Grave.  Volunteers research the history of various people with a connection to Rock County. The day of the event actors, dressed in period attire, re-enact the story of the featured people.  Pie (homemade) and ice cream are provided for a free will donation to support the work of the RCHS. Booklets telling the story of the people featured are available, typically costing $5. The Tales from the Grave events have been held at the local cemeteries, Maplewood and St. Catherine’s as well as at the History Center.  When at a cemetery, the re-enactment takes place near the grave of the person whose story is being told.

Plaza Events - in the summer events aimed at providing entertainment for families with young children are held in the plaza/parking lot area of the History Center.  The RCHS often serves a meal as a fundraiser at these events.

Annual Meeting - an annual meeting with a meal is held each fall at a local restaurant.  The meeting consists of a meal, business meeting and a program.
